In the thrilling conclusion to The Darkness Trilogy, the world has been ravaged by a bioweapon called the Darkness, leaving most of humanity blind and civilization in ruins. For four years, Commander Joshua Seavers and the crew of the USS Wisconsin, a nuclear submarine, have remained at sea under strict orders to avoid contact with anyone. The silence of the world above has left them wondering if anyone – or anything – is left. Then, against all odds, sonar picks up a moving yacht: the Sea Queen, powered and crewed by survivors who can see – and who hold the cure. Onboard is Colonel Phoenix Walker, his daughters Dani and Heather, and a unit of Special Forces soldiers, the last loyal agents of the fallen United States government. Together, they carry the responsibility of restoring democracy and rebuilding the fight against the ruthless Terra Nova Empire, which betrayed and murdered America’s leadership to seize power. As they unite with the Navy, Phoenix splits his forces to accomplish their mission. Dani sails the Sea Queen to Pearl Harbor to begin inoculating and recruiting soldiers, while Phoenix and Heather use the Wisconsin to recover the USS Barack Obama, an aircraft carrier anchored in San Diego. Along the way, they convince remaining Navy and Air Force personnel to join the Democratic Society – the legitimate heir of the U.S. – and prepare for the coming battle. Meanwhile, the Terra Nova Empire, now an entrenched tyranny, hunts Phoenix and his daughters, knowing they hold the cure and the hope of resistance. As the forces of light and darkness rally for a final clash, Phoenix, his family, and their allies must race to rebuild, inoculate, and prepare before the Empire snuffs out humanity’s last chance for freedom.
